Not bad.

Nothing fancy, but it's not bad. I'm sure it could be well used for what you intended. Loops quite well too.

Man...

Dubstep would be so cool if those noises weren't so damn annoying and so damn loud and commanding attention over everything else in the song.
I voted a 4, but it's not against you, it's against the genre.

Surprising...

It's a bit lengthy and the progression could've been built up a tad bit faster. I gotta say I like the use of the synths and percussion, though at times it seemed like the kick in the first minute would almost sound muted, only on occasion. The Synths reminded me of Orbital, and the Guitar and percussion reminded me of The Crystal Method, so it was a really cool mix of sounds to hear. It wasn't something that sounded too great to me, but I'm definitely interested in seeing similar stuff, maybe with a bit more of a low bass or something that I don't really know how to express with any word other than heavy.

Well...

Just not feeling it. I can't really explain too well. The kicks just seem rather quiet and just sound unfitting to the melody you have, which to me seems rather pretty at first, and for some reason seems like it would make a good ambiance. Oh well... Not too sure how to offer any advice, and I'm sure it's the way you prefer it as it is.

DiroNomer responds:

Thats fine. I agree with you about the kicks, and I do think this melody would go with another beat. Thanks for reviewing

A bit bland to me.

I know it's ambient, and what I like about it is how it seems kind of 8-bit video gamey, and at the same time completely not, but it still comes off bland to me. Not fond of how it feels. It comes off as incomplete, and could use some harmonious scales, or even a quieted/filtered drum pattern, so that it fits the song well by being soft. Heck for some reason I can see this somehow turning into a bit of a hip-hoppish beat. Odd. Hope you add some more to it.

Thanks for reviewing!
I´ll take your considerations in a next song,

Very cool unique sound in this.

I like what ya got going on. What kinds of synths did you use, and how did you get the filter to transition so smoothly?

guitaraddict4791 responds:

Thanks for the review.
I used a lot in this song, but the majority of the stuff was Toxic Biohazard's presets that were tweaked a bit, and Albino3 analog synths that I don't even remember what I did with. The beats were taken from FL Studio XXL 9's drumkit 5, and I had some synth bass in there, I forget what plugin I used on that. Then for the voice, I used a speech synthesizer and a vocoder. THAT took me forever to figure out, but was fun to play with

Melody's great but that snare and hat bug me...

Because if I remember correctly they're presets, and maaan heard them times to many... Very good song regardless.

Cool beat but boring otherwise.

What did you use for that came in at around :40? Sounds pretty nifty.
Also...I ain't strung out neither... I'm jonsing...there's a difference.

Holy shit did you do this with flslayer?

Impressed bro. Slayer sounds, but how'd you get that heaviness to it?
Also drums need to be louder, and the main guitar seems to be too loud in the left side/speaker/headphone in my opinion.

w0lv3rine responds:

yeah, until I can get a midi output I can't use my guitar. . . but you just gotta go in the low octaves. .. like I think C3 gives you the chugging effect. but yeah, I figured the drums weren't loud enough, but hey thx for the constructive criticism, I'll be sure to put that into effect to make it sound better

As for how its done

its ddone quite well, just the synths could sound better and make it so much better. Also those sound like open hats, i think closed hats with an open every four steps or so would sound better.

StevePeanutButter responds:

I'll let him know, thanks! He said he's gonna continue the song, so I'll upload it when he's done.

Beats, I make them.
Compliments, I take them.
Expectations? I hope to break them.
