Cool beat but boring otherwise.

What did you use for that came in at around :40? Sounds pretty nifty.
Also...I ain't strung out neither... I'm jonsing...there's a difference.

Holy shit did you do this with flslayer?

Impressed bro. Slayer sounds, but how'd you get that heaviness to it?
Also drums need to be louder, and the main guitar seems to be too loud in the left side/speaker/headphone in my opinion.

w0lv3rine responds:

yeah, until I can get a midi output I can't use my guitar. . . but you just gotta go in the low octaves. .. like I think C3 gives you the chugging effect. but yeah, I figured the drums weren't loud enough, but hey thx for the constructive criticism, I'll be sure to put that into effect to make it sound better

As for how its done

its ddone quite well, just the synths could sound better and make it so much better. Also those sound like open hats, i think closed hats with an open every four steps or so would sound better.

StevePeanutButter responds:

I'll let him know, thanks! He said he's gonna continue the song, so I'll upload it when he's done.

Sounds like you used default kick and hats.

Gah i've heard those sounds enough to make me want to pull my ears off, would be infinitely better if you used percussion from the packs, preferabley the dance clubkick, and the other hats available. snare4 is quite cool too.

like the melody otherwise, and the fade effect sounds nice.

StevePeanutButter responds:

Sorry for making a song that makes you want to rip off various body parts. xD
I'll check out the voices you advised me to use. I'm going to make the loop a little longer, and less repetitive. As for the kicks, they arn't default, they're Hip Kick 3, and Hip Kick 9.
Overall, thanks for the amazing advice ^_^

Holy Bass!

Had to pull my earbuds almost out of my ear to listen to this, because the bass was hurting my eardrums lol. It's cool, but I'm not into it too much. doesn't grab me. The kick gets old quick, and the synths just don't really enthusiate me. I haven't heard the original, but this could be better with some more kickass synths in my opinion.

DjAbbic responds:

Oh well, everyone has their opinions, and I can't please everyone. Sorry bout your ears ;)

Kind of sounds like...

A classical hip-hop trance... When Newgrounds ups a genre called Class-hop-Trance, ya got yourself a genre lol. Nice song ya got here by the way. Very well done, excellent skill, and love the piano, as well as the beeps in the background. Hell everything is spot on, and I can't say I have anything negative to say about it.
Good job.

Wow another pokemon song!

Now wait a sec, that may have seemed sarcastic, but in fact it wasn't, because I forgot to include "And this one's not a stupid ridiculously heavy metal spinoff version!" It sounds almost entirely like the song I remember from the original games and isn't without it's warming feeling you get that keeps you in the game, once you hear it, you immediately know what it is and where it's from. Thank you for taking the time to do this, and not going over-the-top on it.

smilingpig67 responds:

Haha thanks!

What are you going for?

I would recommend if you're using Fl Studio not to use the shitty kick's and claps, and to use either drum loops in slicer for the use of their kick, snare, or clap. Some hats also sounds pretty cool when pogo'd. Your synths kinda suck, take some time and find on that really works for you.

Like the chime/Triangle ya got going on, and the later synth, as opposed to the first two.

JosephurusEuphraties responds:

im not sure what im going for honestly. still playing around with a bit. and its just the trial version unfortunately. ive watched a couple of tutorials on youtube for like slides and thats about it. oh, and layers. havent tried that yet. nonetheless, thanks for the tips and encouragement. im if-y about using the drum loops. like, when i first got into it, i would only chain them together, so i guess i wasnt really making my own music so to speak. but i suppose theres no harm in using a loop or two.

It's "Voila" for "Here it is".

It's okay. For what it's worth it's cool, and I like the 3 osc, but the main synth is just to whiny sounding if that makes sense. Idk. It could definitely use some percussion as well.

Jeez...this is my problem...

I'm sorry but I can't stand the drums, they just feel obnoxious to me. It just feels too heavy as well, to even fit what it feels like being at that place for the first time... Yean it's intense like this, but this doesn't do it enough justice, it feels like you're trying to hard to be a badass.

My opinion.

Burn7 responds:

(/sarcasm)Obnoxious, heavy drums? In a metal song? That's so WEIRD huh? Because Metal isn't known for having a driving, heavy drumkit at all! (/sarcasm)

It makes me think all you listen to would be Trance and/or Techno.

And based off your current audio submissions I may be right.

But regardless, I appreciate taking time to throw in your 2 cents.

Beats, I make them.
Compliments, I take them.
Expectations? I hope to break them.
